The electrical system of a welding robot is generally composed of relays, PLC program controllers, microcontroller designs, CNC machine tools, and computers.
The key control of the electrical system includes clamping and accurate positioning of fixtures, starting and stopping of welding machines, movement of welding machines or steel parts, and entry and exit of transportation equipment; Including fully automatic/manual conversion, whether arc extinguishing is controlled, adjustment and display information of welding speed, power switch and emergency stop button of welding switch power supply, etc.
On the production and manufacturing site of electric welding, relays, PLCs, and CNC machine tools are more commonly used due to the excessive splashing of electric welding, complex water and electrical lines, and large interference signals. And PLC, due to its dual function as a relay, can maintain program control. With the trend of technological development and the emergence of innovative products, today's PLC can still maintain more complex functions, such as some CNC machine tools, such as arc tool radius compensation. Therefore, PLC control systems have been more widely used in automatic welding machines.
